1. Who we are
GallaQR is a mobile application that lets a merchant create UPI QR codes for a fixed amount. GallaQR is only a QR code generator. It does not process payments, hold money, act as a payment system, or confirm transactions. All payments happen inside the customer's own UPI app (PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, BHIM, etc.) through the standard UPI network operated by NPCI and the banks.
2. What data we collect
GallaQR is built to collect as little as possible. The following information is stored only on your own device and is not sent to us or to any server:
- Your merchant/shop name and UPI ID (VPA), which you enter yourself.
- The QR codes you generate (amount, optional note, date/time) for your own history and reports.
- Your app settings (theme, QR expiry time, language).
- Your subscription/trial status.
We do not collect your contacts, location, photos, bank login, card details, or payment credentials. We do not sell or share your personal data.
3. Permissions we use
- Camera: only when you choose to scan an existing UPI QR to fill your UPI ID during setup.
- Storage / Photos: only to save a QR image to your gallery when you tap "Download".
- Internet: used only to load fonts for PDF reports and to validate Google Play subscriptions. No personal data is transmitted for analytics without consent.
- Biometric: only to unlock the app if you turn on App Lock.
4. Legal basis & your consent (DPDP Act, 2023)
By using GallaQR you consent to the limited on-device processing described above, which is necessary to provide the service you requested. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your data in the app (Settings → Clear history) or by uninstalling the app.
5. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data, and to grievance redressal. Because your data lives on your device, you can edit it in Settings or erase it by clearing history / uninstalling. For any request, contact us at pavanputra.way@gmail.com.
6. Data retention
Data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. We do not keep server copies.
7. Children
GallaQR is intended for merchants and is not directed at children under 18.
8. Third-party services
GallaQR uses the device's UPI apps and the system share sheet, may load fonts from Google Fonts for PDF generation, and uses Google Play Billing for subscriptions. These are governed by their own privacy policies.
9. Payments & subscriptions
GallaQR is free to download. Optional Premium features are sold as subscriptions billed securely by Google Play. We never collect or store your payment details — these are handled entirely by Google Play.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
11. Grievance Officer (IT Rules)

12. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the DPDP Act, 2023, and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Disputes are subject to the competent courts in India.
